Last year, Lindsey Nefesh-Clarke, graduate of the ESCP Europe Executive MBA programme, was awarded 2009 Student of the Year by the AMBA organised by Association of MBAs (AMBA) and British newspaper The Independent, it aimed to recognise the broad scope and international attitude of today's most outstanding scholars.
Lindsey Nefesh-Clarke graduated from University of Cambridge in 1994, after which she went to New York for Human Rights Watch. She presently lives in France and works for the humanitarian organisation Enfants d'Aise, where she is the director of the Philippines programme, which brings food, shelter, medical care and education to children living in slums. She graduated with the executive MBA from ESCP Europe in June 2009.
Finding ways to provide small loans to help people from extremely poor communities provide for themselves is one of her passions. Lindsey Nefesh-Clarke is also the founder of the Women's Worldwide Web, a not-for-profit online platform that seeks to empower women through small loans to help them establish a livelihood, education, mentoring and networking.
